...and YES! I do love my new camera!! I had my first shoot Saturday with my new Canon 40D, featuring the fabulous Janelle. I did the shoot as a belated birthday present to her, and also "just because." I think you'll be able to tell from the pictures how amazing the quality of the camera is. The great thing is that there are so many features I have yet to learn! I also did a second shoot on Sunday with Tiffany and Christina, who are roommates and who are my fellow America's-Next-Top-Model-watching buddies. I decided they needed some beautiful artwork on the walls, which would require a model-esque photo shoot. I think they'll have much more appreciation for what the models on the reality show are going through... Anyway, I'll be editing those soon, so keep an eye out for them!

Neil & Jodi
Two of my favorite people just celebrated their 4-year anniversary. And they still like each other! (At least it looks that way..)

Proud New Owner of a Canon EOS 40D!
I did it! I bit the bullet, made a decision, and got a fabulous new camera that I am soooo excited about! I cannot begin to explain how thrilled I am to have such an amazing camera to work with! I think you'll be able to see in the near future how much more crisp and clear my photos will be. Here's what my new baby looks like...
Monday Nite Madness
Another Monday.. another free night to edit photos! Tonite I'll be working on the Thompson family photos. I'm excited to play around with 2-year-old Mackenzie's tutu pictures, and to provide the family with a few good portraits.
I also shot Neil and Jodi's 4th Anniversary pix while I visited them this weekend in K.C. Despite the fact that Neil wasn't overly thrilled with having a camera in his face, we got some nice shots.
Still haven't made a decision about a camera. I've decided to add one more thing to my list of things I hate to do:
1) I hate to PACK for long trips, for a weekend trip... any kind of packing, really. I hate it. Too many decisions to make.
2) And the new addition: I hate making decisions related to electronics, including cameras. I read the reviews. I compare prices. I try them out.... And for the life of me, I still can't make a decision. What if there's a better one? What if I could get a better deal somewhere else? So I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and choose something and SOON! argh.

Decisions, Decisions...
So although I am very excited about the possibility of getting a MacBook soon... I've decided that getting a nicer, more professional camera should come first. I've been playing around with some Digital SLRs that some friends have very generously let me try out, and I've fallen in love with them. I've been a Canon fan since I got my Canon Powershot S5IS last October, so I definitely want to stick with a Canon DSLR.. Now I have to choose.. Which One??? Decisions, decisions....
